Companies Benefit From Web Presence

A COMPANY designing websites for small businesses has announced plans to take on more staff after securing 16,000 customers.

About 1.5 million businesses in the UK do not have a website, but a recent report by the Boston Consulting Group showed that small and medium enterprises actively using the internet reported overall sales growth more than four times greater than that of less active companies.

After starting with a workforce of four in 2003, Webworks Internet now employs 40 people at its Darlington head office, and is set to recruit about 16 staff in the new year to help the firm cope with demand. Read More...

A COMPANY providing websites for small business has plans to expand and take on more staff after securing 12,000 customers.

Five years after starting with a staff of four, Webworks Internet now employs 30 people at its Darlington head office, and in March opened premises in Leeds with ten workers.

The company produces and hosts websites for small businesses primarily around the UK, but has signed up clients from as far afield as Australia and has just signed up its 12,000th client. Read More...
